Fluoride Treatment in Singapore's CBD

Fluoride treatment is a quick, well-established way to strengthen enamel and lower the risk of decay. At Penn Pacific Dental Center, we offer it during a routine cleaning appointment or as a standalone treatment, and it is often included under the preventive care allowance of many corporate and insurance plans.

What Does Fluoride Treatment Involve?

Fluoride treatment is a short, painless procedure usually completed right after a cleaning. A concentrated fluoride solution is applied directly to the teeth, where it helps remineralise weakened enamel and makes teeth more resistant to the acids that contribute to tooth decay. Most patients are in and out within a few minutes, with no downtime.

Fluoride treatment is one of several preventive dental services we provide at Penn Pacific Dental Center, alongside routine dental check-ups and professional cleaning.

Fluoride Treatment as Part of Your Preventive Care

Fluoride treatment strengthens tooth enamel and helps protect against tooth decay. It is often useful for patients whose insurance or corporate benefits cover preventive care but not larger dental procedures, making it a practical preventive treatment to include during a regular cleaning appointment. When clinically suitable, it can be added during a preventive visit, including as part of our Wellness Package for new patients.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Fluoride Treatment?

Fluoride treatment is suitable for most adult patients as part of routine preventive dental care, particularly those with a history of decay, sensitive teeth, or dry mouth. Your dentist will recommend fluoride treatment based on your oral health, risk of decay, and examination findings during your check-up or cleaning appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is fluoride treatment safe for adults?

Yes. Fluoride treatment is widely used in dentistry and is considered safe for adults when applied by a dentist.

How long does fluoride treatment take?

Fluoride treatment typically takes a few minutes and is usually completed immediately after a cleaning appointment, adding little extra time to your visit.

Does my insurance cover fluoride treatment?

Many corporate health plans and dental insurance plans include a preventive care allowance that may cover fluoride treatment. Coverage varies, so it is best to check with your provider.

Some adults benefit from fluoride treatment once or twice a year, often alongside a routine cleaning appointment. Your dentist can recommend a frequency based on your individual risk of decay, sensitivity, dry mouth, or existing dental conditions.
